About HGF.... His Grace Foundation (HGF) is a volunteer organization providing personalized, relationship-based support for families with a child having to undergo a bone marrow transplant due to a form of cancer, aplastic anemia, SKIDS, or a rare degenerative brain disease.
We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 foundation.
HGF focuses on the needs of patients and their families in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) of Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Bone marrow transplant patients are typically hospitalized from four to six weeks during their transplant and often return for additional stays.

Because many of these families are from out of state, if not another country, their support is weak. HGF strives to be the support needed during this critical time.
An HGF volunteer will initially deliver a gift basket with dozens of items needed for a long hospital stay, such as: a phone card, bottled water, shampoo and age-appropriate toys for the patient.
HGF serves two catered meals per month to parents or caregivers. These meals are a welcome break from the hospital cafeteria or fast-food restaurants. Our volunteers are also available to entertain patients.
In addition, HGF fills weekly shopping lists for our patient families with a quick run to a local superstore.
Given the exorbitant cost of parking at eleven dollars a day, HGF is currently providing parking for families as long as they are in the BMT unit.
Our massage therapist, Craig Brown also visits the BMT once a week to provide therapeutic massage for patients and their families.
With these services, His Grace Foundation desires to encourage and provide hope to all patients in the bone marrow transplant unit of the Texas Children’s Hospital.

What’s in a HGF gift basket?
Below is a list. If your church or organization can help us collect any of these items, what a wonderful way to help HGF!
We complete over 100 baskets annually for the children on the BMTU. They love going through their basket and often ask, “Is the WHOLE thing for ME?” Squeals of delight often follow and parents are touched by the thoughtfulness of each item it contains.
